The Matches with Mt. Eddy

After two successful reunion tours in 2014 and 2016, The Matches are reuniting for perhaps the last time to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their third album, A Band In Hope. Hailing from Oakland, CA the original line-up of the band – Justin San Souci, Jon Devoto, Matt Whalen and Shawn Harris – will be playing A Band In Hope in its entirety, along with songs from throughout its catalog. Originally released in 2008 on Epitaph Records, A Band In Hope draws upon the band’s diverse musical influences and highlights the the band’s genre-bending songwriting, effortlessly moving between art-rock, alternative rock and punk influences. Drawing upon the skills of an illustrious roster of producers, from Goldfinger’s John Feldmann to Rancid’s Tim Armstrong to 311’s Nick Hexum to Matt Radosevich and Mike Green, the album has remained a fan-favorite since its release. In addition, the album spawned the acclaimed music video for “Yankee In A Chip Shop”, shot on location in London. England and co-directed by The Matches’ singer and guitarist, Shawn Harris. Opportunities for The Matches to perform together are few and far between, so do not miss this chance to see the band on stage again. You belong.
