Jason Mraz: A Benefit for Harmonic Humanity
On Saturday, August 17, 2019 homeless advocacy non-profit Harmonic Humanity will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a very special benefit concert at the Fillmore featuring multiple Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Jason Mraz.
“I’m honored to be performing at this benefit and joining together with other socially conscious musicians to support Harmonic Humanity.” says Mraz. “I’m a strong believer in their mission to end homelessness by providing employment opportunities, counseling, and education. Together, we are creating opportunities for everyone to do their part in supporting those in need,” he continues.
Community based Harmonic Humanity creates jobs, education, and life-skills counseling to help homeless and marginalized populations reconnect to health and fulfillment.
“This is going to be an epic evening of entertainment and will make a real difference in the lives of the homeless,” says Harmonic Humanity Director Joseph Jacques.
Since getting his start in coffeehouses in San Diego, Mraz has brought his positive message and soulful, folk-pop sound to rapt audiences around the world through his vibrant recordings, humorous live performances, and philanthropic efforts. Along the way, he has earned numerous platinum certifications for his various releases, made pop history with his record-breaking classic single, “I’m Yours” and “I Won’t Give Up”, racked up 2 Grammy Awards, won the prestigious Songwriter Hall of Fame Hal David Award, and has sold out amphitheaters and arenas across the globe, including The Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena. Jason’s sixth studio album Know. was released in August 2018, becoming his fifth consecutive studio album to debut in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Ace of Cups have been entertaining audiences for more than 50 years. From 1967 to 1972, the Ace of Cups were at the epicenter of the ‘60s cultural and social revolution. From the Acid Tests to the protests, from the free concerts in Golden Gate Park to the ballrooms of San Francisco, they shared stages with everyone from The Band to the Grateful Dead, and opened for Jimi Hendrix the week after his groundbreaking performance at The Monterey Pop Festival.
